KIT CARSON PUMP HOUSE IN KIT CARSON, CO
Inside you can see the covered well and open ceiling where the derrick brought up water for thirsty steamers. The hostess at the museum told me of acquaintances that recalled stories of eating lunch in the pump house while they worked for the UP long after it ceased its use as a watering station.
