TUCSON EL PASO & SOUTH WESTERN DEPOT IN TUCSON, AZ
This photo of the depot (circa 1914) shows that the passenger waiting areas in both wings were open-air and only later walled-in. A train sits at the depot with the locomotive to the right of the depot. Douglas Park has been eliminated - replaced by tile, parking lots, and the Federal Courthouse. The center fountain still stands. Seen at the left in this photo is the (now demolished) freight warehouse. It was of the same beautiful architecture as the depot. Note there is no "A" on the mountain. [photo source: http://tucsonarizonahistory.tripod.com/El_Paso_and_Southwestern_.htm ]
