Brighton was a busy point on the Cheyenne to Denver line. There was a yard and division point for traffic to the Boulder branch, Dacono, Ft. Collins and up to La Salle.
North of Bridge St. and veering off to the west, several tracks betray Brighton's busy railroad past as this line served local businesses and joined up with the Boulder branch to the west.
