Comments/Directions:
Andrews Old Town Hall Museum is housed the the original Town Hall building of this turn-of-the-century railroad boomtown which was founded in 1909 around the Georgetown & Western Railroad junction with it's newly laid Marion branch. The museum has an exhibit of railroad memorabilia and a photographic collection . The town at this time boasted the G&W’s division terminal and a number of repair shops for locomotives and rail cars of both the Georgetown & Western Railroad and the Atlantic Coast Lumber Company along with a roundhouse which housed 25 steam locomotives. One of these shop buildings still exists on the East end of Main Street.

LANCASTER, SOUTH CAROLINA -USA
Location: South Side of town near where Main Street becomes South 200. Just look for the railroad.
Description:

|
Comments/Directions:
Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. first and third Saturday of each month from March to November. Admission is free, although donations are appreciated. The Museum includes photographs of the L&C from its inception in 1896 to the engines currently in use. Also has many photographs of fallen flags, many of them from South Carolina. There is also an HO model layout of the L&C. The real L&C is growing so fast, however, that it is hard for them to keep the scale up to date.
