As seen during demolition in 1915 - also showing its replacement by the (extant) Santa Fe "Union Station" - this is a slightly closer view of the tower's Victorian Gingerbread architecture with distinctive detailing and ornamentation including relief panels, patterned shingles, differing wall textures, etc. so that picturesque massing represents this general architectural style. All of the depot's surfaces/faces are detailed using terra cotta or patterned wood shingles shaped into varying designs with hexagons, squares, triangles, etc. Note a side panel is removed from the lower right portion revealing the metal frame of the tower.
