BRAZOS VALLEY RAILROAD SOCIETY MUSEUM - HO MODEL LAYOUT IN BRAZORIA, TX
Freeport Sulfur Company's mined product is shown as it was produced at the Hoskins Mound site (closed in 1955). It was formed into a huge block of Sulphur for shipping out. Mined from huge underground "salt domes" using heated water that accomplished pumping out the product. It was cooled (solidified) to form the block. A photo is fastened on the side of the block.
