Comments/Directions:
The Southern Pacific Casa Grande depot is no more. It burned down on June 5, 2009. It was a one-story, tan plaster building in a beautiful Art Deco or Art Moderne-style . The style was popular during the period, reflecting the importance of railroading and "the progressiveness of commerce and industry" in the country. It was built in the 1930's on the site of the original 1879 depot that had burned in the 1930's. Located along E. Main Street between Sacaton and Florence Streets.
