Denver Union Station & the surrounding area is undergoing a large scale renovation to become the transit hub of the Denver region. Until the project is completed, Amtrak is moving it's station to a building north of the historic station. The building exterior will not be changing but the interior is going to be reworked to support it's new role in the multi-modal transit hub known as Denver Union Terminal.
The model railroads in the basement are expected to remain accessible during most phases of the project.
