RAILROAD MUSEUM
MODEL RAILROAD
Comments/Directions:
Three story museum located a block from an active CSX line. Tells the history of Brunswick, built and owned for years, by the B&O railroad. THe museum also shows what the life of local railroad workers were like around 1900. The biggest and most popular desplay is the giant, 1700 squair foot HO scale model railroad showing the B&O's Metropolitan Subdivision from Union Station Washington DC, to the seven mile classification yards in Brunswick, removed by CSX in 1987, but believed to have been the largest in the country when completed around 1910.
