Location: Approx 45 miles Northeast of downtown Atlanta.
RAILROAD MUSEUM

Comments/Directions: A restored and maintained railroad depot. It still has some of the original benches and items from the passenger train era. The Winder Depot also houses the Winder-Barrow Chamber of Commerce/Info Ctr. Located nearby is a historical museum housed in a restored old jail. On display is the Gainesville Midland No.208, a 2-10-0, one of the last operating in the USA at retirement and twin sister to the No.209 in Gainesville, GA. Also is a Seaboard Coast Line caboose. On most days several current CSX locomotives are also parked there as well.
