Comments/Directions:
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is a diesel powered excursion which leaves Blue Ridge and follows the Toccoa River northward for 1 hr to McCaysville/Copperhill, one town with two names as it is split by the GA/TN State Line. Layover time at the state line is 2 hours. The excursion is 26 miles round trip and takes approximately 4 hours to complete. We do have a "Rail and Raft" package on the Ocoee River and a "Rail and Tube" package on the Toccoa River in conjunction with Rolling Thunder. We take you by train to McCaysville where you detrain at Rolling Thunder. They provide instructions, raft or tube and shuttle back to Blue Ridge to the depot. Engine rides are also available for those 6 and over.
