Comments/Directions: Railroad and logging equipment in an outdoor display area, and a mini-museum with photos and railroad memorabilia. Signature piece is a 1922 Baldwin steam locomotive that worked for many decades in the region's forests, retired now to static display. Also displayed are two restored cabooses and another awaiting restoration, an Ohio steam railroad crane, an ALCO diesel switcher locomotive, a "car mover" yard engine used at the Panama Canal,and the 1916-era motor used to operate Coos Bay's swing-span railroad bridge. The museum and display area are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. year round. Monthly member/board meetings are the second Monday at 7 p.m. in the museum.
