Comments/Directions: At total of 57 miles long connecting the cities of Pulaski, Galax and Fries ("Freeze" is local way to pronounce). 39 miles along the New River is fairly level, Galax to main trail is steeper. VERY FEW SERVICES AVAILABLE except at the towns.
