40 PHOTOS FOR SAN BERNARDINO AT&SF DEPOT
VIEW AS GALLERY

The depot's trackside is more attractive with the three arched portico flanked by twin columns that add flair to the view for travelers entering the lobby. The station name is prominently displayed (none in front). Upon the face of the 2nd story, Greek Revival architecture is seen in the twin Doric faux columns on each end of a mini-balcony. A pleasant hue of blue sky is reflected in the windows where shaded from the harsh sun. Photo 12-17-2013

The arches along the trackside of the former baggage rooms, are seen here looking toward the west end. A bay window is seen on the second floor, apparently for the station master. The left hand arch is connected in the arcade with the portico entryway to the left. The 2 nearest tracks are the active BNSF/Amtrak lines.

About 15 arches of the arcade are seen. The arch at the right leads into the portico at the trackside entry door. The vines obscure the architecture, unfortunately.

This photo in a lobby display case shows it shortly after having been built. At the left end of the arcade, the square structure is a Greek temple likeness with Mission style parapets - a Grande entryway.
