This probably had been a very nice stairway to the downtown area or a neighboring building. The streets in the immediate area have been changed and portions of buildings remain in this hillside, so hard to tell what was originally there

I happened to catch a freight train passing by. Passenger service is currently limited to 2 stops per day, one eastbound, one westbound, on the Texas Eagle traveling between Chicago and Los Angeles
