Location: Between Spring Street and West Oak Street
Comments/Directions:
The caboose, which had been owned by the Texas State Railroad, had been on display at the Bush Library at Texas A&M University and returned to Palestine when a train exhibit closed in July 2006. The city obtained the caboose on a 20-year lease from TSRR and UP held it in the yard and refurbished it while the city decided on where to place it and how to display it. -from The Palestine Herald.
