Comments/Directions: 3 foot gauge steam railroad. NJMT Pine Creek RR runs Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays with steam power from May to the end of September, diesel power in April, October, and weekdays in July and August. Plus, steam power during the Christmas Express, over four weekends starting Thanksgiving Weekend. (Steam equipment is now in shop, diesel power in service) Other special events include Easter Express over Palm and Easter Weekends with the Easter Bunny on board the train, annual Antique Truck, Tractor, and Machinery Day in June (exact date TBA), Railroaders Weekend on Saturday and Sunday after Labor Day(when everything that runs, does), and Christmas Express for four weekends starting Thanksgiving Weekend with steam power and Santa on the train. Locomotives: #6, ex-ElyThomas Lumber Co. 1927 Shay, #26 ex-Surrey, Sussex, & Southampton 1920 2-6-2, #3L "Lady Edith", ex-Cavan & Leitrim (Ireland) 887 4-4-0T, #39 and #45, ex-US Steel GE 50-tonners, #7751 ex-US Army GE 25-tonner, #5 Plymouth 11-ton, #1 Plymouth 12-ton, all 3-foot- gauge. Rail cars in operation: CNJ caboose 91155 built 1874, Newfoundland Railways coach built 1902, open excursion car, plus many freight cars and other historic rolling stock, steam locos, and diesels awaiting restoration. Ongoing steam restoration in shop, NJMT is a certified R-Stamp boiler repair center.
