Comments/Directions: The depot was built in 1922 for the Chicago Minneapolis St. Paul & Omaha Railway -the Omaha Road, for short. The line was originally narrow-gauge and was abandoned in the mid-1960s. The town plans to turn the old depot into an attractive trailhead rest stop for its recreational trail system. It would also house a museum of local railroad history and would be a place where visitors could stop for brochures about local attractions. |
