The actual rails of the former Santa Fe line end here with a pair of helpers idling in the distance on them. Beyond this point (behind photographer) line has been converted to the Santa Fe bike trail.

The original D&RG station at Divide which later became Palmer Lake looking West with the D&RG depot just left of center. The Santa Fe came through in 1887 as they built from Pueblo to Denver.
